This micro frame comes built and ready to fly!

The frame is cut from solid carbon fiber with 3k twill weave and a high gloss finish. This frame was designed to be as minimalist as possible of the best in flight times and agility. Our choice of rubber motor mounts was for a couple of reasons, eliminates any extra hardware, keep the frame light and easy to build. Another great benefit of the rubber motor mounts is that they will absorb vibration from the micro motors and propellers.

With a micro camera / TX unit mounted you can take this micro quad just about anywhere. Purchase the top mounting accessory plate (sold separately) to give your micro quad a finish look or if you need more space to mount a micro TX unit etc. Small enough to fly indoors and powerful enough to fly outdoors in a light breeze. Flight times are around 7 min depending on your build specifics.

AlienWii Brushed-r2.4 Manual A work in progress!

Brief History: The Classic Alienwii Flight Controller (AKA – Grandpa AlienWii) was originally created for myself a couple of years ago. During that time there were no plug and play Flight Controllers that would run MultiWii with brushed motors. I also created the integrated “hardware bind feature” to make Satellite RX binding, easy.

For me this board was a dream come true – it allowed me to dial in the flight characteristics of my brushed machines and make any brushed combo fly exactly how I wanted them to…

After sharing the Original Classic AlienWii with a few friends, others soon took interest. Initially many boards were hand built and given away. Due to popular demand, it was later decided to offer them for sale at Micro Motor Warehouse, and AlienWii was born. The Narrow Classic is the latest revision of the Original Classic.

Troubleshooting – AlienWii Classic

If the AlienWii Classic board does not stop flashing after 30+ flashes, it may have lost ACC calibration, and will need to be re calibrated.

VERY IMPORTANT: You must use MultiWiiConf GUI from the MultiWii 2.3 package or greater. Using MultiWiiConf 2.2 or earlier WILL corrupt your EEPROM! Using MultiWii WinGUI or any other program can also corrupt the EEPROM.

Download MultiWiiConf from the correct MultiWii 2.3 HERE

NOTE: The following process also assumes Java (a requirement for MultiWIiConf) is installed on your computer Download Java HERE. If you don’t have Jave installed, you might encounter an error:

Javaw.exe error
Javaw.exe error

Launching MultiWiiConf GUI and recalibrating:

1) Disconnect the battery
2) Ensure the AlienWii Classic Brushed FC is level and remains still
3) Plug the FC via USB into your computer
4) Run MultiwiiConf (version 2.3 or higher) – Use only the 32 bit version for both 32 and 64 bit PC
5) Press Reconnect or Connect
6) Ensure that ACC Roll and Pitch are near zero

MultiwiiConf GUI

a.) If Pitch and Roll are not close to zero
1) Press CALIB_ACC and wait until Pitch and Roll are close to zero
2) Press Write
3) Press STOP
4) Press CLOSE COMM to exit.

Warning: Even tiny multirotors can be dangerous. Always use extreme caution when handling a quadcopter that is connected to USB power or a battery. Regardless of whether the flight controller is armed, treat the machine as if it is always armed.

**Micro Motor Tips**

1-Drill props with #62 drill bit so they press on all the way.
2-Rest motor bottom end cap on corner of a table or something to keep it from popping off when you push the props on.
3-Add a little epoxy to the edges of the bottom end caps to keep them from popping off in a crash or when pushing props on.
4-Let motors cool a little in between battery packs.
5-Replace nicked or damaged props as damaged props will cause the motor to run hotter and will affect efficiency.
6-Make sure micro is balanced as an unbalanced micro will not fly as well and motors will run hotter and will affect efficiency.
7-Buy spares because if you crash a lot you will need them.
