Description
Phoenix Flight Gear Custom Built 135mm Micro-H 8mm

Motor Nano Copter Bind-n-Fly Extreme Edition

**
Binds to any Spektrum TX**

For this Extreme Edition we direct solder a JST to the FC

That's the only way to run 8mm motors

For smoothest throttle response do not upgrade to the dark Edition.

They are for "Balls to the Wall" sport flying and might not be the

best choice for FPV racing unless it is a large course.

**PHOTOS BELOW WIL BE UPDATED WITH NEW SCISKY FLIGHT CONTROL PIC**

**3D parts shown below are optional**

The micro frame market has taken off with a revolution in flight controllers and a variety of coreless motors. This super light racing frame has a second top plate that secures your micro motors the top and bottom the motors strengthening the frame. Securing the motors with two points also makes this the most rigid frame that we have to offer to date. Build able with either 7 or 8mm motors you will be able to upgrade and reconfigure as your skills improve. With minimal nylon hardware and foam motor mounting we keep this frame light and easy to assemble.

For the racer in you, the top plate can be shifted forward with 7mm motors installed for face paced racing. Another reason we chose a two plate frame  was to strengthen the frame to make it more rigid. To protect your flight controller we have also made two optional flight controller yards, one for the AlienWii and one for the blade NanoQX and Hubsan X4. If you are flying FPV we also have mounting place for an antenna protector post for the Spectrum VA1100. There is also a ledge for mounting the VA1100 and micro pico cameras on the front.

Frame:
The frame is cut from solid carbon fiber with 3k twill weave and a high gloss finish. This frame was designed to be as minimalist as possible of the best in flight times and agility. Our choice of rubber motor mounts was for a couple of reasons, eliminates any extra hardware, keep the frame light and easy to build. Another great benefit of the rubber motor mounts is that they will absorb vibration from the micro motors and propellers.

Building this micro as a micro FPV drone is also a possibility. With a micro camera / TX unit mounted you can take this micro quad just about anywhere. Purchase the top mounting accessory plate (sold separately) to give your micro quad a finish look or if you need more space to mount a micro TX unit etc. Small enough to fly indoors and powerful enough to fly outdoors in a light breeze. Flight times are around 7 min depending on your build specifics.

Building this micro quad could not be easier, the motors slip into the motor mounts, the AlienWii mounts to the center of the frame with adhesive tape. Bind and attach a DSM2 compatible satellite receiver and you’ll be ready to fly. The default flight settings for the AlienWii will get you in the air and flying without connecting to a computer, uploading firmware or dealing with complicated PID settings. Should you want to do some additional tuning of the flight controller, programing is done through Arduino and the MultiwiiConf utility.

CL-0820-15 Hyper Speed Coreless Motor 8.5x20mm

To fit these motors into your Alias, you will have cut off and use the plugs from your old motors.

Performance data:

  • operating voltage: 1.5-3.7V
  • max. thrust: 40g (direct drive, Hubsan X4 propeller)
  • 2.75A max. load current at 3.7V  (Hubsan X4 propeller)
  • factory lifetime rating: 5-6 hours

Dimensions:

  • can diameter: 8.5mm
  • can length: 20mm
  • shaft diameter: 1mm
  • shaft length: 5mm
  • weight: 4.9g

All motor packs contain equal amounts of clockwise and counter clockwise motors. To maximise performance and life span, dont run them in reverse!

Motor rotation and correct polarity is indicated by the wire color:
clockwise: red +, blue -
counter clockwise: white +, black

Good things do come in small packages and in this case its not just good, its great.

Setting the standard in Multi-Rotors once again, Quanum has listened to builders of mini and micro quadcopters and released the a full function Brushed Flight Control Board which was purpose designed and built for quads around the 100mm and sub 100mm class.

This brushed FC has four built in ESC's at 4.3A per FET and is ideal for brushed motors in the 6~8mm size range.  It also has a built in DSM2/DSMX compatible receiver.

The Pico is a full 32bit Cleanflight supported FC board and has a micro USB connection.  Once you have downloaded cleanflight on your PC, you simply plug in your Pico Quanum FC Board into your PC and you have complete control over its settings.  Its that easy.

NOTE: DO NOT PLUG THE BATTERY AND USB IN AT THE SAME TIME, THE RX WILL RECIVE POWER FROM THE USB FOR SET UP. THE FETS WILL BE DAMAGED OTHERWISE.

**Micro Motor Tips**

1-Drill props with #62 drill bit so they press on all the way.
2-Rest motor bottom end cap on corner of a table or something to keep it from popping off when you push the props on.
3-Add a little epoxy to the edges of the bottom end caps to keep them from popping off in a crash or when pushing props on.
4-Let motors cool a little in between battery packs.
5-Replace nicked or damaged props as damaged props will cause the motor to run hotter and will affect efficiency.
6-Make sure micro is balanced as an unbalanced micro will not fly as well and motors will run hotter and will affect efficiency.
7-Buy spares because if you crash a lot you will need them.
